Majlis Khatam Al-Quran Ramadhan 1430H/2009M, tahlil, doa selamat, dan berdikir meraikan saudara2 baru SSEAYP yang memeluk agama Islam, BPY2009.

I found this lovely comment made by Miss Norhayati Yunus (hehe) on Facebook about 2 hours ago when they just got home from the HQ. :) It really was a lovely day today. I was doing live updates on Twitter and hopefully someone finds it useful hee.

But honestly syukur alhamdullillah it all went very very very well, and we had amazing turnout from BPYs of various various years! Even the Guest of Honour, none other than Haji Rozan Hj Yunos, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications is a BPY 1990 (YL to be exact)! :D We were very happy to have him with us then. We hope to see you in many more of our events (or maybe just to hang out at the HQ).

The HQ welcome all BPYs, no matter how old or how young. :)

A big thank you and a big giant hug to the PYs who participated in the Khatam Al-Quran. Many congratulations especially to the PYs who recently converted to Islam.

And of course may the BPY2009 enjoy a safe journey around ASEAN. :) We wish you well on this journey of a lifetime.

But in our happy times, let us not forget the BPYs who are not with us anymore. Semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat. Amin. Al-Fatihah.

Full album available here (Baim's), also here (mine), or here (Lina@Jen BPY07).

Thank you again to all of you who made the event such a resounding success! We will see you on Sunday. :)

Added: We are also featured in Pelita Brunei on Saturday, 12/9/09.

In preparation for Friday's & Sunday's Events

As you know, this is a very happening week for Bersatu.

Cleaned up and ready to go!

On Friday we have the Majlis Khatam Al-Quran sempena bulan Ramadhan 1430H/2009M diselajurkan berdikir meraikan saudara2 baru SSEAYP yang memeluk agama Islam, meraikan BPY2009, berbuka puasa, sembahyang Maghrib dan sembahyang Isyak berjemaah diselajurkan sembahyang Tarawih. (Boy that's a long name!)

And on Sunday we have the community work in Masjid Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, Kg. Katimahar in cooperation with Jawatankuasa Takhmir Masjid dan Persatuan Pengakap Daerah Brunei Muara.

So in preparation and anticipation of the two events, now the HQ in Anggerek is all hustling and bustling with activity! Had people coming in to do many things such as:

Do some updating~

 Come online on Facebook...

These boys came after performing just to liven things up too.

Helping out cleaning the place and play around with the water pump! Hahaha!

Or just simply hanging out! Hoo!!! (Quite literally!)

PYs and all Bersatu members are welcome to drop by if you want to as we stay there till late after Tarawih. :D

In other news, only yesterday was the meeting with the Masjid people to discuss sequence of events on Sunday.

Was at work at the time so was unable to join. (Not that I'll be of any help hehehe) For more photos from the meeting, click here to see the album.

BERSATU interview live on Rampai Pagi (RTB)

I was sleeping this morning but I know some of our BERSATU members tuned in this morning to Rampai Pagi at about 9.40am to watch dynamic duo Haji Jailani and Haji Hassan clad in orange and black giving an interview to the two hosts.

I heard they look rather dashing! :D Next time we really should aim to appear during peak hours haha. Here are some photos from the interview taken by our super secret mole within RTB. ;)

Which is my good side? Left or right? :P

When doing make-up. All PYs should know the importance of stage make-up. ;)

Funny thing was, only 2 days before these two handsome men were roughing it up during the cleaning campaign!

Hahahah! We clean up pretty well yeah!? Don't forget to tune in to RTB the next time we come on air: Sept 23 with a live interview entitled "Hari Raya Aidil Fitri ASEAN-Japan" starting even earlier than today at 8.30am.

For more photos from today's interview, please click here.

Cleaning campaign at the HQ

Had an awesome time cleaning up the HQ yesterday in preparation for our event on Friday, the Majlis Khatam Quran, Tahlil, Doa Arwah, Doa Selamat and Bersungkai. So now not only is the blog getting a makeover, the HQ is also getting some sprucing up and spring cleaning. :) Click here to get to the full album on my Facebook. I apologise for the amateurish photos!
